Fault by default ist die Einstellung der Interpolierungsmethode für Bilder im IE.
Bildinterpolation
Bildinterpolation bezeichnet die Erhöhung der Auflösung eines Bildes durch Hinzufügen neuer Bildpunkte bzw. Pixel im gesamten Bild. Für die Interpolation wird ein mathematisches Verfahren angewandt, bei dem zur Berechnung der hinzuzufügenden Bildpunkte Informationen über die benachbarten Bildpunkte hinzugezogen werden. Häufig wird dazu ein Durchschnittswert der Farb- oder Graustufenwerte benachbarter Bildpunkte gebildet.
